Doom and gloom dominated the financial news again this week with a downgrade of Italy's credit rating, continuing concern about an eventual Greek default and an IMF forecast of slower world growth and a slowing Australian economy. Not surprisingly against this background, the Australian and world share markets continue to struggle, with a resulting increase in investor uncertainty.
