Dixon Advisory Investment (DAI) adopts a committee approach to investing with all aspects of the investment process discussed and agreed to by members of the Investment Committee.

The Investment Committee comprises:

Our investment approach is to take a global macro approach to investments and then apply them to an individual's portfolio to suit their investment goals.

The committee meets regularly to discuss investment strategies, market conditions and specific securities of interest to our clients. All aspects of the investment process, from the broad strategy to  individual client recommendations are based on the current views of the Investment Committee.

At each meeting, the Investment Committee:

  • monitors asset classes and recommends adjustments to asset class weights for DAI clients according to prevailing market conditions;
  • monitors specific investments and recommends adjustments to DAI client portfolios; and
  • assesses new investment opportunities for DAI clients.

Tailoring the committee’s recommendations

Following each Investment Committee recommendation, your Investment Advisor tailors the Investment Committee’s advice to your specific situation. Members of the Investment Committee have regular meetings with our team of investment advisors to ensure the advice you receive is always up to date and based on the Investment Committee's latest views. This ensures ongoing, proactive management of your investments and regular contact with your Investment Advisor, regardless of prevailing market conditions.

This approach has aided our clients through a wide range of market conditions, most notably the Global Financial Crisis (GFC).
