Abenomics is no miracle cure for a declining Japan
Japan is ageing faster than any other developed economy. It is also shrinking. Abenomics may turn out to be a trick without a treat.
Japan has posted its highest level of inflation since 2008. For the month of June, consumer prices, excluding food, rose by 0.8 per cent compared with the level in June 2012.
