U.S. Fund Lines Up as Second-Biggest Aussie IPO of 2013

Private equity investor U.S. Select Private Opportunities Fund II is poised to become Australia's second-largest initial public offering of 2013, according to a disclosure statement seen by Deal Journal Australia.

The fund is seeking to raise up to 65 million Australian dollars (US$67.4 million) at A$1.60 a share.

Deputy Chairman of Dixon Advisory, Max Walsh comments on this investment fund - "We believe private investments offer superior long-term returns relative to public market asset classes such as listed equities, and that smaller and more nimble private investment funds outperform their larger counterparts."
