Dixon Advisory financial adviser honoured with FPA award
Dixon Advisory Financial Adviser Erin Shields has been honoured by the Financial Planning Association of Australia (FPA) as the recipient of the first Gwen Fletcher Memorial Award.
The award is given to the highest achieving student in the FPA’s Certified Financial Planner (CFPÒ) Certification Program each semester in honour of the late Gwen Fletcher AM, the ‘First Lady of Financial Planning’.
Dixon Advisory Australia Managing Director & CEO Chris Brown congratulated Erin on her achievement.
“To be the best student in her cohort in the highest level of certification for a financial planner is an outstanding accomplishment,” Mr Brown said.
“This award recognises Erin’s excellent academic and technical skills as a financial adviser. Erin is also highly skilled in developing strong relationships with her clients, developing a deep understanding of their situation and goals and helping educate them about the recommended strategies.
“At Dixon Advisory, we pride ourselves on the quality of our staff and the high standard of advice. We also provide structured internal training and provide staff incentives to undertake post-graduate studies to help ensure they are at the top of their field.”
In announcing the award, Mark Rantall, CEO of the FPA, acknowledged Erin’s commitment to raising the overall standards of the financial planning profession.
“Now, more than ever, it is important that we continue to forge ahead along the path to professionalism, which we first embarked on some twenty years ago,” Mr Rantall said. “The CFP accreditation is one of the key tools to prove indefinitely, to peers and clients alike, that our commitment to professionalism, excellence and expertise is unfaltering.”
