Trailing commissions rebate
Understanding trailing commissions
A trailing commission is an annual fee paid over the lifetime of investment products. These commissions usually average 0.5 per cent of your fund balance and are paid annually to the financial planner or adviser who recommended the investment to you.
Secure your trailing commission rebate
You can ask your financial planner or adviser to rebate ongoing trailing commissions to you or we can help you. Simply re-direct your trailing commissions to Dixon Advisory by appointing us as your adviser and then we will rebate them back to you. You do not need to change any of your existing funds and you do not need to be our client to do this. Once appointed, we will collect any entry or exit fees and your monthly trailing commissions, and rebate the commissions back to you at the end of the financial year.
Join our trailing commissions rebate service
Dixon Advisory has been rebating commissions since 1992. Our fee-for-service administration charge for this rebate service is a maximum of $150 plus GST per annum, per managed investment. We deduct this from the amount we rebate to you in order to process your annual entry, exit and trailing commissions. We hold an Australian Financial Services License (AFSL), which entitles us to collect and rebate your trailing commissions.* This service applies to most managed funds but there may be some exceptions.
