Our Investment Committee
The Evans Dixon Investment Committee combines extensive expertise in investment markets, economics, research, fiscal and monetary policy, risk analysis and asset management to deliver guidance and insight for the benefit of clients of Dixon Advisory.
The Investment Committee is led by independent chairman, Patrick Farrell, in addition to another five Committee members who collectively bring a wealth of experience to help investors stay abreast of current conditions and future opportunities.
With a core belief that asset allocation is the most important determinant of portfolio returns, the Committee has established a rigorous set of investment principles to frame decision making, assess investment opportunities and monitor portfolio performance on a risk-adjusted basis. These principles include a comprehensive approach to risk management with the aim of building portfolios which will remain resilient over the market cycle.
The Committee recognises that certain active managers can add value to clients’ portfolios, but the opportunities can vary by asset class and over time. As such, the Committee only endorses active investments to their preferred portfolio status when the Committee has a high conviction of the manager’s approach and capabilities.
