Genevieve Bond is a member of the senior leadership team in Canberra. With her background in psychology and commercial experience in strategic marketing, Genevieve contributes to the firm’s growth initiatives and strategy in Canberra.
She is passionate about educating and empowering the firm’s staff, clients, community and local government partners to make the right decisions about their financial future. Since joining Dixon Advisory in 2015, she has quickly become a well-known figure in the local Canberra community, bringing the firm’s values to life and advocating for Dixon Advisory’s commitment to excellence and education.
Prior to joining Dixon Advisory, Genevieve worked as an executive in the private sector and now uses her experience to run the Executive Wealth Program, which she is very passionate about. Genevieve has seen first-hand the impact the program has had on improving the lives of executives and their families who want to achieve better financial outcomes but are time poor.
"Many of the people we see come through the program are experts in their own field, though time constraints mean that they ‘don’t know what they don’t know’ when it comes to their personal finances or how to be confident when shaping their financial future. This is where we can help," explains Genevieve.
Dixon Advisory’s values resonate deeply with Genevieve. “I was definitely attracted to Dixon Advisory for its family values. As a holistic family wealth advisory firm, Dixon Advisory takes the responsibility of managing people’s wealth very seriously. One of our internal mantras is that we consider the recommendations we make to clients in the context of whether we would make that same recommendation to our own family members. This has stuck with me from the outset and I think is what sets us apart from many other advisory firms.”
With a long sporting background and strong community spirit, Genevieve is well placed to oversee Dixon Advisory’s partnerships in the Canberra community, and regularly liaises with sporting clubs, community organisations and charities in the area.
Genevieve has a Bachelor of Psychology from the Australian National University, and has completed General Advice level Kaplan training – Generic Knowledge.
